Our clients wanted to see some different concepts for a new back yard that fit in with the strong architectural lines of the house. We came up with 4 concepts that designed the back yard into different rooms. The driving force for the back yard was a new outdoor kitchen, more sitting areas, possible water feature/garden art location, hot tub and PRIVACY. The residence HAD great views of the Boise foothills until a new home went in and now their focal point is their neighbor’s roof. We designed four concepts to take advantage of the open views, screen the neighbors’ roof, give the clients a sense of enclosure and play off the strong lines of the house. After presenting the plans and SketchUp models a final concept is currently being designed to combine the elements from a couple of our designs. This project is scheduled to be installed by SES Landscape in 2010.
