This Lincolnshire residence is a colorful family garden rich in layered plantings of bold hues and textural contrasts. Working around all of the existing built elements and reusing most of the existing plant material, this site is a true testament to what can be achieved strictly through planting design. We re-contoured bedlines to add depth and dimension to the borders while preserving ample amounts of open lawn for play. Furthermore we reorganized all of the planting areas to add more structure to the garden with carefully placed trees and shrubs. Finally we layered in brightly colored perennials and textural grasses that are sequenced to keep the garden interesting throughout the season. Our client enjoys the bold colors and textures incorporated within her structured yet informal family garden.
